Dreamforce 2019 is over and you are beginning to recover from the holidays. Now your mind turns to the New Year: new strategies, new goals and new ways to advance your business. Here are my tips to help you take advantage of all that you learned at Dreamforce and put it to good use as you head into the New Year.
Reconnect with someone you met.
One of the key benefits of attending Dreamforce is the opportunity to network and share ideas. Pull out those business cards you collected and enter them into your Salesforce org. Pick two or three people to reach out and continue sharing.
Review or download content from your favorite sessions
Do you want to share a slide from your favorite session? Or did you get shut out of a session and would like to get that information? You have access to ALL the content, recordings, and post session Chatter from ALL Dreamforce sessions?!? Just log into the Dreamforce site. Go to the Sessions tab. Click on your favorite session. Then scroll down to the Session Materials and Session Chatter sections.
Or, check out recorded sessions on YouTube.
Follow your favorite speakers
Want to hear more from your favorite speakers? Follow them in a Salesforce Community or in your favorite social media channel.
Follow your favorite topics and dig a little deeper
Here are some of my favorites:
- Dreamforce 2019 Product Announcements
- Customer 360 – Brings all your favorite Customer 360 functions together. Here’s a Trailhead – Salesforce Customer 360: Quick Look
- Financial Services Cloud for Insurance
- Einstein Analytics expanded functions
- Einstein Voice – “Hey Einstein . . . “
- For developers – Cloud Information Model (CIM), Evergreen, and Entity Interface, Lightning Full Sandbox
- Leadership and Innovation ideas
Implement one idea from your DF19 Ideas list.
Dreamforce is the best place to “fill your Salesforce idea bucket.” In the New Year, pick one and execute!
Saw something? Share something!
The best way to reinforce what you learned is to share it. And it will help get others excited and start thinking about new possibilities. Talk about something cool you saw and ask how you might use it in your organization.
Or, host a “Dreamforce Snippets” lunch and learn with your power users. If you are interested in doing so and would like our help, we would love to help you arrange an event to get your users excited about the coming year and all that Salesforce has to offer. Contact me if you are interested in our help to set up a lunch and learn event.
