6 Salesforce Chatter Groups Everyone Must Join

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Salesforce Chatter groups, they are a quick and easy way to collaborate with employees and even with Salesforce customers outside of your organization.  Once set up, Chatter groups can be public, private, unlisted and archived to keep the communication secure.

Salesforce Chatter groups can help people regardless of their role within the organization: from developers to administrators to standard users.  By joining Chatter groups in the Salesforce Success Community, you can learn, share and network with people who have experience dealing with an issue or topic you may be struggling with.  Here are the 6 Salesforce Chatter groups we encourage everyone to join.

Getting Started

New to Salesforce and unsure where to start? Look no further than this Chatter group! It is an essential resource for new Salesforce users. We love this Chatter group because it offers resources found under the Links to Get You Started! sidebar. These resources include webinar and office hours, regional events, what’s trending, and other getting started topics. In addition to the great resources to help guide new Salesforce users, this group is extremely active and is a great place to ask the questions you may have while customizing your Salesforce organization.

Release Readiness & Feature Adoption

Salesforce is an ever-evolving platform. The Release Readiness & Feature Adoption chatter group is led by Salesforce’s Customers for Life team whose main goal is to keep you up-to-date on the latest and greatest product enhancements and innovations. Consider this group to be the one stop shop for everything you need to know about the current & upcoming Salesforce releases.  With three releases each year, this Chatter group can be a valuable resource.

Trailhead

Whether you’re new to Salesforce or simply looking to expand your knowledge of the platform, this group provides all you need to know about Trailhead. Trailhead is Salesforce’s free interactive training guides and modules that encompass everything from the basics to the most in-depth topics. Each Trailhead “trail” or topic, has one or more learning modules within it and includes the time it will take to complete the trail.  Once you have completed the trail, you will receive a badge. Are you competitive? Collect as many badges as you can!

Lightning Now!

Lightning Now! Is a Chatter group that includes all things about the Lightning Experience in Salesforce. Looking for new and updated features or how to leverage those features to make your team more effective? This is the Salesforce Chatter group for you. One of our favorite parts of this Chatter group is their direct links to Lightning specific trails, blogs and other resources to help keep the conversation going.

Salesforce1 Mobile App Success

Salesforce launched their mobile app Salesforce1 in 2013. Salesforce1 helps makes your business more efficient and productive by offering users the opportunity to access their full Salesforce platform through their mobile devices. This Chatter group will keep you up-to-date on Salesforce1 features, updates and events.

Training & Certification

If you’re looking to learn more about Salesforce training and certifications, Salesforce University is the chatter group to follow. This group of collaborators includes students, alumni, and certified professionals that help and encourage one another to further their Salesforce knowledge.
